We arrived at Double DDs to find the place rocking. Luckily, Harper called in a favor with Delaney, the bar’s owner, and had reserved one of the tables in back. Holding the position of head of Public Relations for the Suns had its benefits and I suspected it wouldn’t be the last time Harper saved the day for us. Avery and I arrived at the table and after passing hugs around with everyone, we filled the two remaining chairs seated across from Mindy and Cami.

“Yo, Violet,” Cami called out loudly enough for half the bar to hear. Her personality was over the top which was probably a good thing since she was the Suns’ cheerleading coach. Cami glanced around and spied our waitress at the bar. “Need some drinks over here.” She waved.

Avery rolled her eyes as the waitress arrived at our table. “Need four pitchers of Yuengling Light for the table and glasses all around,” Cami announced.

“Beer?” I questioned. I wasn’t normally a beer girl.

Mindy leaned closer. “Cami’s on a mission. She’s got that look in her eyes again.”

“Drinking games,” Cami, Harper, and Avery replied in unison as the waitress returned to the bar. Mindy snorted way too loud and attracted stares from the tables around us.

Mindy flicked their looks away with a wave of her hand. “Where’s the boys?” she asked and received several looks from the others. “Oh, too soon. My bad.”

“Mindy. You know anything about this Mr. Johanassen that Natalie brought to the Hard Rock last night?” I asked her since with her working in the Suns’ advertising department, she might know something about that bitch niece of his.

“He’s just one of Orlando’s finest, if you ask him. Ask anyone else though, he’s another wannabe.”

“You know anything about a niece of his? I had a bit of a run-in with her, you might say.”

“Yeah, you might say. My god, you put that bitch in her place.” She waved her hand in her face as if cooling herself before becoming serious again. “To answer your question, no. I don’t know anything about her. She’s nothing to be concerned about if that is what you’re asking."

I nodded at Mindy with relief when the pitchers arrived and we made quick work of passing them around and filling our glasses.

“Okay, ladies. Keys on the table. Today’s game is Never Have I Ever.” Cami’s eyes circled the table maliciously.

“I love this one!” Avery exclaimed. I turned to her for an explanation. “It’s simple. Think of something you never have done—the naughtier the better. When it’s your turn, you reveal your little secret and anyone who has done it has to drink.”

I laughed. “So the naughtiest get the most drunk?”

“Yep.” Avery smacked her lips. “I better let Roman know I’m going to need a ride home tonight.” She picked up her phone and typed in the message.

I had a bad feeling this band of girls was going to get me drunk as fuck as within the last twenty-four hours, I had added quite a few things I had done to my list.
